Halloween Bake & Play and Paint Your Own Pumpkin at Cobbs Play Barn, Hungerford

Make some spooky muffins at the Halloween Bake & Play on 25th October at 1pm, £12 per child.

You can paint your own pumpkin at the Play Barn on 27th October at 1pm, £12 per child.

Pumpkin Carving at Cobbs Farm Shop, Hungerford

Cobbs’ Pumpkin Carving Tent is open from 23rd October – 29th October (10am-4pm Mon-Sat and 10am-3pm Sun – last entry one hour before closing). £3.50 per child which includes a treat and squash. Find out more by visiting the website here.

Mini Professors Halloween Spooktacular at Eddie Catz, Newbury

Our card partner Mini Professors is holding some Halloween Spooktacular sessions on Monday 23rd October at Eddie Catz at the following times:

  • 9.45am-10.30am (2-3 years);
  • 11am-11.45am (2-5 years); and
  • 1pm-1.45pm (4-5 years).

Halloween Laser Tag Disco, Halloween Arts & Crafts and Family Halloween Party at Eddie Catz, Newbury

There are some spooky goings on at Eddie Catz this half term!

The Halloween Laser Tag Disco is on Wednesday 25th October 6pm-8pm (for 6-12 years, drop off). £13 per child, £12 for Eddie Catz members. Book online here.

Halloween Arts & Crafts is on Friday 27th October 10am-1pm (4-7 years, drop off). Children will be able to decorate their own Trick or Treat bag. £16 per child, £14 for Eddie Catz members. Book online here.

The Eddie Catz annual family Halloween Party is taking place on Saturday 28th October from 5.30pm-7.30pm (for children aged up to 10 years and their families). £14 per child, £4 for adults and £1 for babies under 12 months (siblings of paying children only). Tickets include all entertainment, a child’s meal and a drink, a Halloween goody bag and an adult drink.  You can book online here.

Mortimer Scarecrow Trail

This year’s Mortimer Scarecrow Trail is taking place from 21st-29th October and has a ‘One of a Pair’ theme. You can collect maps from Dads Shop & Budgens for £1 from Thursday 19th October. Visit the Facebook page for more information.

Giant Pumpkin Hunt & Haunted House/Haunted Forest Lantern Trail at Bucklebury Farm Park

A giant pumpkin hunt and haunted house at Bucklebury Farm – costs £1 in addition to the park entry free. There will also be daily face painting.

There is a Haunted Forest Lantern Trail from 25th-27th October 4pm-6.30pm. £20 per child, suitable for children aged 4-10.

‘Creepy Cruise’ Halloween Boat Trips

There are ‘Creepy Cruise’ Halloween boat trips in Newbury from 24th-29th October. Children can enjoy a spooky story, a Halloween quiz and a chance to have a go at the ‘Trick or Treat’ box. Tickets cost £6 for adults, £5 for seniors and £5 for children aged 2-15. Visit the website for more details and to book.

Halloween & Half term events at Beale Park

Beale Park is offering children the chance to build their own ‘bat box’ on Wednesday 25th October from 10.30am-12.30pm. The cost is £5 per child, in addition to the normal park admission charges. On the same day from 1.30pm-3.30pm you can also ‘Meet the Bugs;’ normal park admission charges apply but there is no extra charge for this event which will run on a first come, first served basis. If you’re going to Beale Park why not take part in the ‘Batty Halloween Trail’ which runs from 20th-31st October? You can enter the trail for 50p and be in with a chance of winning a prize if you enter the prize draw. Visit the website here for more information.

Hallo’Welly’Ween at Wellington Country Park, Riseley

A week of spooky Halloween fun at Wellington Country Park; including Pumpkin carving, train ride, creepy craft room and much more. Visit the website for full details of event times and entry prices.

Halloween & Half term workshops at City Arts Newbury

Halloween at Finkley Down Farm, Andover

Halloween Half Term is taking place at Finkley Down Farm from 21st October -29th October 10am-6pm. There are lots of spooky activities planned, visit the website for more details and ticket prices.

Halloween at 4 Kingdoms Adventure Park, Newbury

Mortimer Craft Fair

There is a ‘Made in Mortimer Craft Fair’ on Saturday 28th October 10am-4pm. The fair is taking place at Mortimer Methodist Church and will feature a mixture of stalls and refreshments. For more information you can visit the Facebook page here.

Ghostbusters at Parkway Shopping Centre, Newbury

The Ghostbusters are visiting Parkway Shopping Centre in Newbury on Saturday 28th October from 10am-6pm. The Ghostbusters car will be there along with Giant Mr Puft. Family Activity Day at Shaw House, Newbury

There is a Family Activity Day at Shaw House on 25th October from 10am-3.30pm. Children will be able to make a hanging decoration in the shape of a skeleton. The Steadfast Tin Soldier at Shaw House, Newbury

An indoor puppet theatre show at Shaw House on 26th October at 2pm. Suitable for children aged 3-7 but older and younger children are welcome. Tickets are £9 for adults, £7 for under 16s. For more information you can visit the website here.

Events at The Corn Exchange, Newbury

Events at Newbury Library

Newbury Library is hosting a free creative writing workshop (for children aged 10-16) on 26th October from 2pm-3.30pm and free drama workshops (for children aged 4-12) on 25th October at 2pm-2.45pm & 3pm-3.45pm.
