Make a Valentine’s Bear

Tuesday 13th February 1pm-4pm (for 4-9 years, drop off)

Choose, stuff, fluff and adopt your very own cuddly teddy at Eddie Catz with some Valentine’s love. Choose from a traditional teddy bear or a different style from the colourful and cuddly range. Wednesday 14th February 1pm-4pm (4-9 years, drop off)

Enjoy some Valentine’s themed Arts & Crafts at Eddie Catz. Each child will be designing and decorating their very own canvas bag and some lovely Valentine’s Day cards for their loved ones. Cobbs Play Barn

Valentine’s Bake & Play

Wednesday 14th February 1.30-3.30pm

Bake & decorate heart shaped cookies for your Valentine. Spend the afternoon mixing, sifting and creating your heart shaped masterpieces before burning off any extra energy in the Play Barn’s fantastical play space whilst they bake. All ingredients & equipment supplied.

Bring yourself and an adult! Costs £12 per child, this includes refreshments for the children, baking to take home and time to play in the Play Barn.

Enjoy some card making in the Play Barn. There will be templates ready with all you need to colour and create your own card to give to your Valentine! There is space to leave your own personal message inside.

Chinese New Year

Friday 16th February

Help decorate the Play Barn for Chinese New Year. From Monday 5th February find Chinese dragons to colour in at Cobbs Play Barn, stick your masterpieces up in the Play Barn or take them home.

The Real Macaron Co

‘Bake with Me’ sessions for 7 – 12 year olds will be held during half-term on Tuesday 13th February at 10.30am – 12.00pm and at 2.00pm – 3.30pm. The class costs £22.50 per child, including a soft drink and a macaron as well as tea or coffee for accompanying adults! Places are limited to 6 children per class so early pre-booking is advisable. A special Master Class for 13 – 16 year olds will be held on Wednesday 14th February at 10.30am – 12.30pm. This is priced at £35 per person.

During half term (12 – 17 February inclusive) Macaron House in Newbury will be open from 10am – 4.30pm, selling Valentine macaron gifts, serving hot and cold drinks and offering a complimentary macaron with every hot drink purchased.

Other drop-in activities for children will include colouring competitions and macaron decorating.

The Corn Exchange

Make And Do Holiday Club – Monday 12th February – Friday 16th February

For children aged 4-8, a holiday club at the Corn Exchange’s Learning Centre where participants will be able to enjoy different creative activities such as arts & crafts, drama and dance. Sing-A-Long Beauty And the Beast – Thursday 15th February 7pm

Beale Park

Miniature Train Celebration Day –Saturday 10th February 10am-5pm

There will be a reduced entry rate of £5 per person (a pay on the day promotion which is not available online) to celebrate the new miniature train at Beale Park. There will also be special events and entertainment.

Build a Bird Box – Wednesday 14th February 10.30am-12.30pm

Build a bird box for £5 at Beale Park (normal park admission charges apply). This event will be operated on a first come, first served basis.

Meet the Bugs – Wednesday 14th February 1.30pm-3.30pm

A chance to meet some of the animals that live in the ‘Bertie’s Bugs and Beasts’ section of Beale Park. Normal park admission charges apply but there is no additional charge for this event. The event will be run on a first come, first served basis.

The Nature Discovery Centre

Wild at Heart – Nesting Box & Feeder Workshop – Tuesday 13th February 11am-12pm, 1.30pm-2.30pm & 3pm-4pm

Snowdrops at Welford Park
