Baby Feet 500x500 for clinics article

Are you looking for a clinic where you can get your baby weighed or perhaps you need to speak to a Speech & Language therapist? We’ve put together a directory of baby and child health clinics that run in the West Berkshire area. We have divided them into Well Baby Clinics and Speech & Language sessions.

Well Baby Clinics are run by the Health Visiting team, you can get your baby weighed and speak to the health visitor for advice or about concerns you may have.

Speech & Language drop in sessions are for families who require advice about their child(ren)’s speech development, these sessions are run by a Speech & Language Therapist.

The clinics are run by West Berkshire’s Family Wellbeing Hubs; you can read our article about the Hubs here.

Most of the clinics are also listed on our What’s On section.

The clinics are usually run on a drop in basis so there is no need to book. We have taken care to ensure that we have provided up to date details but cancellations can occur and days, times and sessions are subject to change so we would advise checking that the clinics are running before going along. Changes and cancellations are usually announced on the Hubs’ Facebook pages:

  • We have just had a mum turn up for a well baby clinic at Central Family Hub in Thatcham as she found the details on your website. Unfortunately we have changed our clinics and therefore could you please remove the clinic on Thursdays 1.00-2.50 and late clinic on Thursdays 4.45-6.30 as these are no longer running. The only clinic at the Central Family Hub, Park Lane, Thatcham now is on Fridays 9.30-11.50.

    Thank you

    • Hi Audrey, we are sorry that this happened but it clearly states at the top of the article that we advise people to check that a clinic is running before they go along. We are aware that there have been changes to the clinics recently but due to us being a small business with a very small team our list has not yet been updated; we will ensure that it is updated with the correct details soon. If you would like to get in touch with us you can do so via the ‘Contact Us‘ form on the website or alternatively email Thank you.

  • I would also advise that there are no longer any Parenting Advice Clinics running, so can you please remove all of these. I would suggest that you contact the Speech and Language Therapy service as I am aware that they have changed their drop-ins recently.

    Thank you

  • I have noticed that some of the timimgs are incorrect for other well baby clinics. If you can please supply me with an email address, I will scan the correct details and forward them to you.

    Thank you
